Whispers of Love: A Poet’s Journey
In words, I find laughter, promises unfulfilled,
Dreams that vanish as dawn’s first light kissed my window sill,
Love often arrives late, chances missed, my heart concealed,
Inconsistently absent, leaving me unsure, my love’s fate sealed.
Life’s an enigma, love and hate forever intertwined,
I’ve known souls unremarkable, concealing their truths behind,
I chase after love, a quest that often leaves me blind,
Always unsure, my heart passionately pines.
I’ve gazed at ripples on the water’s tranquil edge,
Past memories awaken, wrinkling the pages of my life’s pledge;
Each memory shares stories, from the time you made the wedge, Disregarding advice, on a journey to a distant edge.
How long have I been weary, how much has slipped from view?
Time rewinds, yearning for something, lost emotions born anew.
The movies you cherished, the tea you’d master with grace,
I remember every detail, each smile upon your face,
Sleeping in your cozy bed, I cherish that sacred space,
Moments bathed in sunlight, a presence with a fragrant grace.
