Such is the case with the groundbreaking research on “growth” versus “fixed” mindsets among individuals and organizations.

The concept of a growth mindset revolves around the belief that talents and abilities can be developed through hard work, effective strategies, and input from others, leading to greater achievements and successes compared to those with a fixed mindset, who perceive talents as innate gifts.

Throughout my research, I have witnessed the transformative impact of a growth mindset, not only on individuals but also within entire organizations. When companies embrace this empowering mindset, their employees report feeling more motivated and committed. Moreover, they benefit from enhanced support for collaboration and innovation. On the contrary, companies with predominantly fixed mindsets may witness a rise in unethical behaviors like cheating and deception among employees, driven by a desire to gain a competitive edge in the race for talent.
