Midnight Memories: Love’s Silent Echoes
Comment below if you have also experienced the sadness and emotional struggle of moving on from a past love💔
Cradling memories in the folds of my mind,
I find solace in the bed where you once lay,
Pillows, once perfect, where your presence defined,
Now, half a day’s rest seems to slip away.
~~~~~~
Tracing your contours, where love used to thrive,
Emotions rekindled, revived, and betrayed,
The fibers of time, the weight they’d derive,
Yet, change eludes them, still, I’m dismayed.
~~~~~~
In the depths of night, I lose sleep for your name,
Determined to reclaim a solitary reign,
Loneliness beckons, though I know it’s a game,
Yet, by the dawn, my heart still bears your chain.
~~~~~~
The space once shared, now empty and vast,
You and I, no longer, in the night’s tender grasp,
If solitude’s the answer, I’d choose it at last,
A hundred sleepless nights, the die has been cast.
