We’ve all been there, staring at a blank page, feeling the pressure to come up with something brilliant for Medium but your mind just draws a complete blank.

It’s frustrating, it’s annoying, and it’s enough to make you want to throw your laptop out the window.

But fear not, my friend, because this phenomenon is known as writer’s block and it is not an unbeatable monster. It may feel like it has a stranglehold on your creativity, but trust me, it’s just a temporary setback.

Now, how can we conquer this obstruction to creativity? Understandably, there isn’t a universal solution, but I can share some real-life instances that have aided me in reclaiming the writing rhythm.

To begin with, when I find myself struggling to find inspiration, I find it beneficial to alter my surroundings. Monotonously sitting in the same place day after day can stifle creativity. So, I gather my device, notebook, or whatever tools I am employing, and venture to a coffee shop, a park, or even the serenity of my backyard. A change in environment can offer a fresh perspective and invigorate the flow of creative ideas.
