In the heart of conflict, where shadows loom,
A tale of sorrow, death, and war’s cruel tune.
In twenty-twenty-three, the stage was set,
For Israel and Hamas, their fates to be met.

A dance of violence, a long-held strife,
In Gaza’s heart, where hope fights for life.
The rockets flew, a deadly skyward dance,
The world held its breath, in a deadly trance.

A barrage from Gaza, a surprise of fear,
Five thousand rockets, the end drawing near.
The southern towns, where terror struck so deep,
A festival of music, where tears would weep.

Unarmed souls taken, prisoners of the night,
Innocence stolen, in the battle’s fright.
Women and children, their lives torn asunder,
A conflict’s dark legacy, a world left to wonder.
