Researchers from the University of Iowa’s College of Public Health made a shocking discovery: compared to people who rarely eat out, those who eat out twice or more daily face a 49% higher risk of all-cause mortality, an 18% increase in death from cardiovascular disease, and a staggering 67% increase in cancer mortality.

These findings, published in the *Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics*, shed light on the true dangers of a fast-food lifestyle.

The study followed 35,084 adults over an average of 7.83 years, during which 2,781 participants died.

Of these, 511 deaths were due to cardiovascular disease, and 638 were attributed to cancer.

The connection between frequent dining out and higher mortality rates was clear and alarming.
