Dear Water: This Poem is For You
This poem is about our connection with water and embracing the responsibility of protecting water for our next generation.
I find myself often overlooking the treasures of life,
Among them, water, a gift we often ignore.
It envelops us ceaselessly, yet its worth remains concealed,
Its significance in our lives, something we seldom explore.

From vast oceans’ embrace to tranquil lakes and streams,
Water’s abundance graces our surroundings, so near.
In the rhythm of our days, we utilize this invaluable resource,
For drinking, cooking, and soothing moments clear.

Pause for a moment and envision a world,
Where pollution taints the waters we rely on so.
When we disregard the blessings we possess,
The potential losses, alas, we might never truly know.

Responsibility extends to the generations ahead,
Our offspring and their offspring, a continuum to embrace.
Preservation becomes our noble duty,
In every endeavor, water’s sanctity we must trace.
