In life’s mournful cadence, we’ve drifted far,
The echoes of your voice, like a fading star.
Once, we shared the intricacies of life’s thread,
Now, we’re but strangers, our connection dead.
The fear of disrupting our fragile equilibrium,
Has left us in this heart-wrenching delirium.
We’ve chosen to keep our distance, remain cold,
Leaving behind the warmth, the stories untold.
I trace my steps back to a time now lost,
When our paths converged, whatever the cost.
You stand before me, yet we’re galaxies apart,
I wave my farewell with a desolate heart.
No longer friends, our hands can’t entwine,
The yearning for closeness, I must resign.
In this realm of silence, our dreams decay,
No longer do we bear the weight of what we say.
